Spending one, two, or three weeks in a bungalow requires good space management. It may seem like a real challenge, but with a few practical tips, you can make the most of every centimeter for a functional, comfortable, and enjoyable stay. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation. First, keep in mind that regular visitors make it a priority to pack light and bring only what they really need. “We took the train down from Versailles with just four suitcases—one each,” explains Mélissa, who came to spend two weeks at Marina Plage with her husband and two children. “Versatile clothing that can be worn multiple times and travel-sized toiletries are essential for avoiding clutter.”
The bungalows at Marina Plage have beds with space underneath, ideal for storing suitcases and empty bags. There’s no need to burden yourself with folding tables and chairs—the resort provides everything you need. Getting into the habit of putting things away immediately after use helps prevent clutter—this includes folding clothes and putting away clean dishes. Vacations are a special time to relax, so it’s important to choose meal ideas that are simple to prepare in the mobile home’s kitchenette—ones that require minimal cooking equipment and can be made quickly—so you can fully enjoy your stay while still eating well. Mixed salads, wraps, pasta with pesto, and fruit salads will do the trick for the whole family. “We were told that next to the Ange bakery, just outside the campground, there’s a Biocoop store—very convenient for grocery shopping without a car—right next to the Petites Halles, where you can grab a bite to eat,” Amine points out.
Certain items are essential for enjoying your stay in a bungalow even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, such as board games or card games, books, and magazines to read indoors while it’s raining outside. But also notebooks and drawing supplies for the kids, and of course a laptop to watch your favorite shows, even though the bungalows are equipped with a TV. “We regularly take part in the parties organized by the activity leaders, like tonight’s foam party,” says Mélissa, a care assistant, who has already planned to return next year. “The people from Marseille here are cheerful, kind, and welcoming.” A
sentiment of joy shared by management on its Facebook page: “We’d like to warmly thank you for participating in the 100% free activities organized by the Marina Plage entertainment team. Your enthusiasm and good spirits make every moment a real success! We hope you and your children enjoyed our new playground, especially the AcroGames and Home-Ball structures.”
