Plage du Petit Méjean: This more secluded beach is located in Ensuès-la-Redonne and is perfect for those seeking a bit of peace and quiet.

Plage de la Couronne: Located in Martigues, this is one of the most popular beaches on the Côte Bleue, with fine sand.

Verdon Beach: This beach is popular for its shallow waters, making it an ideal spot for families with young children. It is also located in Martigues.

The beaches of
the Etang de Berre

What could be better than having your feet in the water, just a few meters from your rental, without having to cross the street?

With an area of 151 km ² , the Etang de Berre is Europe’s largest saltwater lagoon open to the sea.

The beaches along the lake have held the “bathing water quality” certification from GIPREB since 2013.

Throughout the summer season, the beaches around the Étang de Berre are subject to mandatory health inspections conducted by the Regional Health Agency (ARS) in accordance with the Public Health Code and European directives. 
In 2024, 14 out of 15 beaches received a rating of “excellent water quality” in the ARS’s official ranking. In addition, the “Blue Flag” flies over the beaches of Berre-l’Étang, Le Jaï, and Saint-Chamas, while others are in the process of obtaining certification.
